Praised as a “revealing soprano voice”, Laura Pisani was awarded in 2019 with the Stimulus Award by the Musical Critics of Argentina Association, because of her artistic activity during 2018.
During 2019 Ms. Pisani appeared as solo soprano in Carmina Burana by Carl Orff and Magnificat by J. S. Bach at Theatro Municipal de São Paulo, Brazil, with the Municipal Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Roberto Minczuk. She was also part of the cast in Ariadne auf Naxos playing Najad, at Teatro Colón of Buenos Aires, under the conduction of Alejo Pérez and direction of Marcelo Lombardero. This year allowed Ms. Pisani to return to her signature role, The Queen of the Night, in two different productions: at Teatro Avenida in Buenos Aires, for Juventus Lyrica Opera Company and at Teatro del Bicentenario of San Juan, under the direction of Eugenio Zanetti. Other presentations include her appearance at Teatro Colón as Antoinette, from the opera Le Bal, by Oscar Strasnoy, with the Philarmonic Orchestra of Teatro Colón, under the conduction of Wolfgang Wengenroth.
In 2018 Laura Pisani made her USA debut singing The Queen of the night with the Florentine Opera Company, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and her Brazilian debut with Piedade (João Guilherme Ripper), at Theatro Municipal de São Paulo and Sala Cecília Meireles in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, singing the role of Anna Da Cunha. For Teatro Colón she was part of the reprise of João Ripper’s Piedade. She made also her role debut singing Ophélie (Hamlet, Ambroise Thomas) for Juventus Lyrica, at Teatro Avenida in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In November 2018, she was awarded with the “best female voice” prize in the “Concours International de Belcanto Vincenzo Bellini” held in the City of Vendome, France.
In 2017 she was featured in Teatro Colón performing Milliner (Der Rosenkavalier, Strauss), Ein Mädchen (Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny, Kurt Weill), Anna Da Cunha (Piedade, João Ripper) and First wood sprite (Rusalka, Dvôrak).
Her many opera performances include: Adina (L’elisir d’amore, Teatro Lírico, Posadas, Misiones, Argentina, 2012), Die Königin der Nacht (Die Zauberflöte, Juventus Lyrica Company, Teatro Avenida, 2013 and Centro Cultural Konex, Buenos Aires, 2016), Musetta (La bohéme, Juventus Lyrica, Teatro Avenida, 2013 and Ensamble Lírico Orquestal, Auditorio de Belgrano, Buenos Aires, 2016), Dircé and Premiere Femme (Médeé, Cherubini, Opera2day Company and Juventus Lyrica Company, Theater aan de Schie, The Hague Royal Theater, Theater de Vest, Rotterdamse Schowburg, Theater De Spiegel, Amstelveen Schouwburg, Deventer Schouwburg, Hoorn Het Park, Nijmegen Stadsschouwburg, Eindhoven Parkheater, Heerlen Theater, Netherlands, and Teatro Avenida de Buenos Aires, 2013/2014 season), Olympia (Les contes d’Hoffmann, Juventus Lyrica, Teatro Avenida, 2014), Duquesa Carolina (Luisa Fernanda, Moreno Torroba, Mozarteum San Juan, Argentina, 2016).
On the concert stage, Ms. Pisani has sung Bach’s “Wedding” Cantata, BWV 82, N° 202, Exsultate Jubilate, K165 (Mozart); Messa di Gloria (Rossini); G Major Mass, N°2, D167 (Schubert); Stabat Mater (Pergolesi) and Gloria, RV 589 (Vivaldi).
In 2016 she won the First Prize at “Alejandro Cordero Singing Competition” (Argentina), which allowed her to sing three concerts at the Manhattan School of Music and the Americas Society in New York.
In 2013, she won the first prize in the Bienal Juvenil Shell- Festivales Musicales 2013/2014 Singing Competition (Argentina).
Laura Pisani is graduated from the Instituto Superior de Arte del Teatro Colón (ISATC).
